INDUSTRIAL SECURITY

INDUSTRY 4.0

In order to make targeted investments in IT security as an operator and not to miss the entry into Industry 4.0 developments, both existing systems and planned production lines must be adapted to future security requirements.

The networking of machine systems and production facilities that has advanced in recent years is being accelerated by the Industry 4.0 trend. With networking, the attack surface for cyberattacks increases. It is particularly important to consider the interfaces between the machines and systems, as these systems also have a direct impact on machine safety.

On the basis of IEC 62443, we and our IT experts support operators, integrators and manufacturers of industrial machines and systems through an independent assessment already in the planning phase.

Depending on the design of the machine (system), there is a direct correlation between the safety functions from the machine directive according to EN ISO 13849-1 and the required protection level according to IEC 62443.
